TPC History

Our cleanroom experience began in the building and construction industry started in 2001. Total Precision Contracting was started by Jake Nolan. The name was changed to Total Precision cleanrooms Aust recently, due to our strong presence in the cleanroom industry across Australia.

TPC’s reputation as a quality contractor was gaining recognition with the tier 1 and tier 2 builders and we were invited to tender larger scale cleanroom projects on commercial building sites. As there was a strong union presence on these sites we had to enter into a Enterprise bargaining agreement (EBA) in order to carry out these projects. Many of the early projects were for clients such as CSL, Mayne Pharma and Glaxo. Most of these customers we still deal with today.

In 2009 we became certified installers for Dagard Cleanrooms, a French manufacturer of specialised proprietary cleanrooms. Our first project was for the Melbourne center of Nano-fabrication, MCN, built by Cockram construction. It was a bit of a learning curve as opposed to the usual coolroom type construction methods we usually adapt. However we could see the huge benefit of using modular type cleanrooms, where everything is fully designed, engineered and supplied by the one company.

Dagard held a strong market lead in the industry for a good 10 plus years within the Bio containment and Research and development areas, and is still highly regarded in this arena. TPC has gained a lot of experience within these areas through engagement with specialist consultants and architects, within this tightly held industry.

In 2012 we obtained our builders licence in Victoria and contractors licence in Queensland. TPC moved more into turnkey construction of food facilities, coolrooms and cleanrooms. This has helped us expand into a number of areas such as commercial fit-out, construction management and turnkey solutions for our existing customers and new.
